Sunflour Sourdough Co

About Sunflour Sourdough Co.

Sunflour Sourdough Co. started in my home kitchen in San Diego in 2022 and found its new home on the Mississippi Gulf Coast when my family moved here in 2024. What began with a jar of sourdough starter and a love of baking from my late grandmother has grown into an all Sourdough cottage bakery built around good bread, creativity, and community.

Everything I make is handmade, long fermented, and made with a whole lot of love. When I say all sourdough, I mean it, from classic and flavored artisan loaves to focaccia, bagels, cookies, cinnamon rolls, and seasonal creations. Sourdough is at the heart of everything I bake.

Sunflour is also home of the original smoked sourdough, one of the things that makes my little bakery especially unique. I love taking traditional sourdough and putting my own unexpected spin on it, whether that means smoking a loaf, turning one into a pumpkin for fall, or dreaming up a new seasonal flavor. My starter, Jimmy Buffdough is at the heart of it all!

One of my favorite parts of Sunflour has become teaching. Sourdough can feel intimidating when you’re first starting out and I love taking away some of that mystery. My classes are relaxed, hands on, a little messy, and a whole lot of fun, exactly the way I think baking should be.

You can also find Sunflour Sourdough Co. at local markets and events throughout the Mississippi Gulf Coast all year long. Preorders are available for Wednesday evening pickup at The Butcher on Tucker Road and Saturdays at the Pass Christian Market from 9 AM–1 PM. We pop up during holiday events along the coast as well. You can find us on all Social media platforms for future dates and pre-orders. All Sourdough Cottage Bakery. Home of the OG Smoked Sourdough & Sourdough Cookies on the Gulf Coast. Find me at the Butcher on Tucker on Wednesday evenings and the Pass Market on Saturdays 9am-1pm.
